◆ TableFlip 1.2.0
You’ll want to delete your old apps and replace them with these versions. Soon we’ll have a new native client shell that will not require a new download with each upgrade.
Danger of both workflows: Overwriting, Losing Data
TableFlip is a Markdown table editor for your Mac. You just need to change the Markdown file and the table will update. All you need to do is save the table in TableFlip and the Markdown file will be changed. TableFlip helps you get your table finished in no time – thanks to auto-growing tables, you don't even need to adjust the table size when you tab around the table.

While press coverage can offer important social proof, most users prefer to test-drive an app themselves before they buy. Doesn’t work on the Mac App Store. But it works for your app when you offer downloads on your own.
The biggest problem for the iPad is Apple’s unwillingness to let it become its own thing. Development of iOS is driven by the iPhone, which probably shouldn’t have the tools of a regular computer. But the iPad needs at least some of those tools if it’s to fulfill Apple’s promise to be a laptop replacement. Being yoked to the iPhone is holding it back. — Dr. Drang

Simple Table Editing: TableFlip is fast to boot and use. You don’t even have to speak Markdown to make use of its text-based tables!
Joe Buyer wants a commodity market
A few weeks ago, a new Mac app called TableFlip was released. It’s a spreadsheet-like editor that works with Markdown tables, and it got favorable reviews from folks like Brett Terpstra, Katie Floyd, Eddie Smith, and John Voorhees. Longtime readers of this blog will know that my interest in making it easy to edit and cleanly display Markdown tables goes way back, so I was eager to give TableFlip a try. I was a little busy earlier in the month, but I’ve had a chance to give TableFlip a workout over the past week. Bottom line: in its present state, it’s not ready for me, but I can see where other people would find it quite useful.
So after all this praise of TableFlip, why don’t I want to use it? Several reasons, some of which are related to its user interface, some to its functionality, and some to my peculiar tastes in formatting.

As an integrated two application system keeps workflow simpler and faster, iA Writer (or MacDown) and TableFlip sounds like the ideal Markdown workflow for people who need tables. If you'd like to go free and don't do much with footnotes, just Typora is a great second choice.
